Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what RepairProof collects, how we use it, and what choices you have. We wrote it in plain language so you can understand it without a law degree.

What RepairProof is

RepairProof is a vehicle repair documentation app. It helps you record vehicle condition, repair details, shop promises, photos, notes, generated documents, and proof packets before and during a repair.

RepairProof helps you organize information. It is not legal advice.

Information we collect

Depending on how you use RepairProof, we may collect:

• Account email address and login/account identifiers
• Vehicle and repair case details you enter (make, model, mileage, VIN, shop name, repair reason, symptoms, deadlines, estimates, warranties, and similar fields)
• Shop contact details, promises, notes, confirmation messages, and other text you save in a case
• Photos or other evidence files you upload
• Generated documents and proof packet content created from your case data
• Feedback or support messages you send us
• Basic technical data such as browser or device information, log data, performance data, analytics events, and error information needed to run and improve the service

If you use RepairProof without signing in, some case data may be stored only on your device until you clear browser storage or switch devices.

How we use information

We use your information to:

• Create and manage your account
• Save, sync, and display your repair records
• Upload, store, and retrieve evidence photos
• Generate repair documents and proof packets
• Provide support and respond to feedback
• Improve reliability, security, and product performance
• Detect abuse, errors, or unauthorized access

Third-party service providers

We use trusted providers to run RepairProof. They process data only as needed to provide the service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and private file storage for evidence photos
• Vercel — website hosting, deployment, and analytics/performance
• Resend — transactional emails such as signup and confirmation messages
• Apple / App Store — may process app-related data when you download or use the RepairProof iOS app

What we do not do

• We do not sell your personal information
• We do not sell uploaded repair evidence
• We do not use your photos or evidence for advertising
• We do not intentionally track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising
• We do not provide legal advice

Data sharing

We may share information:

• With service providers that help us operate RepairProof
• When required by law, court order, or government request, or when we believe disclosure is needed to address safety, fraud, security, or to protect rights

You control what you share. You decide what to put in a repair record and what to share with a shop, insurer, lawyer, or anyone else. RepairProof does not share your case contents with those parties unless you choose to.

Account deletion

Signed-in users can delete their account from Account → Danger Zone → Delete My Account. Account deletion is intended to delete your account and associated RepairProof data and evidence from active systems.

Some information may be kept where legally required, needed for security or fraud prevention, briefly retained in backups or logs, or required for dispute or legal compliance.

Data retention

We keep your data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you delete your account, we remove data from active systems where reasonably possible. Some data may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or where retention is required for legal, security, or operational reasons.

Security

We use reasonable safeguards and trusted service providers to protect your information. Evidence photos are stored in private storage with access controls. No online system is 100% secure.

Please avoid uploading information you do not need for your repair record, and use a strong, unique password for your account.

Children

RepairProof is not intended for children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided us information, contact support@repair-proof.com.
